Kajol is one of the most loved actresses ever in Bollywood . She is beautiful, intelligent, extremely talented, smart & charming – last but not least very Indian girl at heart. 2010 was eventful for her as she gave birth to her 2nd child and also acted in buddy Karan Johar‘s saga MY NAME IS KHAN, WE ARE FAMILY (The remake of STEPMOM) and hubby Ajay‘s TOONPUR KA SUPERHERO. Of course she was appreciated for her performances in these films and she even managed to win best actress awards at few of the major award ceremonies. However, 2011 began on a completely different note for her. We saw her staying away from movies to take care of her new born son named Yug. However, she’s back on the scene where there is an intense speculation going on about Kajol being cast opposite SRK in Yash Chopra‘s next. Last but not least, she is heartwarmingly hilarious in her latest ad for Alpenliebe. Kajol is one of our esteemed nominees..

Kajol to hit TV again?

The actor apparently is a strong contender to fill in for actor Akshay Kumar in a cookery show.

Actor Kajol, who's apparently going easy on films following the birth of her second child, may however make a concession for television it is learned. Buzz is that the actor is one of the strong contenders to do the second season of a popular food show that was first hosted by actor Akshay Kumar. The actor had recently confirmed that he would not be doing the second season as it clashed with another television show that he is currently hosting.
Following reports of Akshay not doing the show, rumour mills went abuzz with names that were likely to replace Akki, one of them being filmmaker-actor, Farhan Akhtar. But the latest is that actor Kajol too is being considered for the show. She apparently is in talks with the channel who approached her for the show.
Says a source, "It is true that Farhan is also being considered for the show, but Kajol has an upper hand here as she's always had a family image. It'll be easier for the audience to accept her as a host after Akshay, whose plus point was that he was a chef himself. Farhan on the contrary has a multifaceted image and has already hosted a show earlier, but this show's format is to do with food. Kajol, being a wife and mother, has a stronger identity that'll blend with food and kitchen. Besides, she also has a higher mass appeal than Farhan."
Should Kajol do the show, it would be interesting to see her hosting the show at a time when hubby actor Ajay Devgn has agreed to host a show on another channel. But this isn't the first time that Kajol, will be on the tube as the actor was earlier a judge on a dance show along with hubby Ajay and mom Tanuja.

Kajol wins at the 56th Filmfare Award

Kajol won the Filmfare Best Actress Award for her amazing performance in Karan Johar's MY NAME IS KHAN. Now it's her 5th one, which makes her holding the record along with her late aunt Nutan. Kajol has also won the Filmfare South Best Actress (for Minsara Kanavu) and the Best Villain Award for Gupt (both in 1997-98).

Kajol gives birth to a baby boy

It was on 13th september 2010 at 9.20am (IST=5.50m german time) that kajol delievered her second baby called Yug (era, age of world). Many stars like SRK, Bipasha Basu, Priyanka chopra and Ritesh Deshmukh sent their congrats via twitter.

Shahrukh promotes Kajol's next

 

Shahrukh Khan has got enough reasons to have a special inclination towards We Are Family considering everyone associated with the film is his close friend. No wonder, King Khan seems to be promoting the film on twitter. Here is what he has to say.“Saw the songs of we are family....the simplicity is endearing...I am sure it will be really really nice...can't wait to see it when I get back,” tweets Shahrukh on the micro-blogging site.

Well, as mentioned above, when celebs like Kajol, Arjun Rampal and to top it all Karan Johar is involved, good word of mouth from SRK is bound to come. Now, it remains to see how far will his words come true?

Kajol not planning to rush back to work

Kajol has revealed that she does not plan to go straight back to work after giving birth.

The actress, who is currently pregnant with her second child, said that she wants to take some time away from acting to take care of her new baby.

When Real Bollywood asked her if she had any plans to make a comeback after giving birth, Kajol said: "It all depends on how I feel after I have my baby. I refuse to take a decision here and now. It's my prerogative to do what I like. 

"I firmly believe women should have babies when they can take care of them. As simple as that. 

"I want my baby to arrive and I want to watch him or her grow. I took time to have a second baby because I wanted to have the time to give myself fully to motherhood. I refuse to miss out on the joy of watching my child grow for anything in the world.

"I've worked a lot. I enjoy doing just one-two films a year. I don't think I want to do more than that. I'm happy with my pace of work. If I do too many films people would get bored of me."

I am not praying for a baby boy

Actress Kajol, who is expecting her second child, is not praying for a son. She says she is equally enthused by the idea of having another girl child in her family. 

The actress has a daughter with actor husband Ajay Devgn. 

"I'm just hoping for a healthy happy baby and a healthy happy momma to look after the baby. I've a wonderful daughter. How can I say no to another girl just like her? I don't believe I need a son to complete my family. My sister Tanissha and I made quite a complete family," said Kajol.
