As part of the International Women’s Day celebrations, shaadi.com conducted a poll in which 250,000 women participated. Others in the running for the top spot were Aishwarya Rai, Gauri Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Malaika Arora, Twinkle Khanna and Kiran Rao. In the poll, 43.08 per cent women voted for Kajol!
Here's why...
Zero ambition:
Kajol was at the height of her career when she got married to Ajay Devgn and left it all behind. Women who are not overtly ambitious still find favour among the masses.
Balancing act:
Salman in an interview said that he does not mind if his future wife works like Kajol – that is work on one film a year and look after home and hearth the rest of the time. Everyone likes her cause she is doing the balancing act and doing it successfully.
Great mum:
Kajol didn’t take up any assignments till her daughter Nysa was old enough. She picks her up from school every day. She even plans her outdoor shoots in such a way that Nysa can accompany her on these.
Happy with hubby and his family:
We know Kajol is moody and temperamental but her 11-year-old marriage to Ajay Devgn has been rock solid. She has also been living with her in-laws, who dote on her. (That’s no mean feat!)
Dress sense:
Since she got married she has junked the short dresses for either ethnic or elegant western wear. She’s also looking far more glam post motherhood.
